Clubmen Visit Sister Club RC Angeles West

.

President Mar Reyes, IPP Allan Asi, PP Butch Javier and PP Bong Jiao attended sister club Angeles West’s Club meeting last October 7, 2009. SFDM clubmen were warmly welcomed and treated with great fellowship. President Baby Pingul of RC Angeles West expressed their club’s interest to have a joint meeting with RC SFDM and possibly an expanded MSU mission sometime next year.

RC SFDM and RC Angeles West have a long and uninterrupted history of partnership. Senior Rotarians of both clubs shared with us their experiences with our own past presidents, like PP Louie Lopez, PDGs Pros Crescini and Pete Morales and many other Rotarians from SFDM who made regular visits to Angeles City, especially their club inductions.
It was also an occasion for the visiting clubmen to pay their last respects to the wife of RC Angeles West’s CP Charlie Baltazar who is very popular among RC SFDM past presidents.

President Mar Joins District Relief Operations

.

Yesterday, October 7, 2009, President Mar Reyes joined DG Dulce dB. Coyukiat and her team in the District’s Relief Operations at Brookside, Rotary Village near Bagong Silangan in QC. Two (2) truckloads of canned goods, used clothes, blanket, clothing, medicines, water, diaper, soap and other items were distributed to some 2000 beneficiaries, including women and children. The sick were attended to in a medical mission manned by doctor-Rotarians from the district.

RC SFDM donated to the District canned goods, used clothes, rice and medicines. Incidentally, upon directive from the District, SFDM created its own District Rescue, Relief and Response Team (DRRRT) composed of President Mar, PE John Simon, PN Ronnie Yap and Club Secretary Bon Tagum. Our DRRRT will be responsible in coordinating all of the club’s rescue and relief operations and work hand in hand with the District’s team.
