40th Induction and Governor’s Visit Rotary Club of San Francisco Del Monte’s 40th Induction Rites will be on July 16, 2009, 6:00 p.m. at the Main Lounge, Manila Polo Club, Mckinley Road, Forbes Park, Makati City.

Partners in Club Service Projects Welcome The Club is looking for partners for its Service Projects: The Mobile Medical Missions (MSU), De-wormimg Project, TB-Free Generation of Filipino Children, Anemia Detection and Treatment, Supplemental Feeding, Save A- Vision – A Gift of Sight and Early Childhood Development Center.

Nine (9) Mobile Surgical (MSU) Missions scheduled for RY 2009-2010 The club scheduled nine (9) MSU Missions in the following areas: Pozzorubio, Pangasinan, Bgy. Fairview, Quezon City, Guiguinto, Bulacan, Tanay, Rizal, Camalig, Albay, Laoag, Malabon, Gapan, Nueva Ecija and Calamba, Laguna. These are expanded missions that will include medical, dental, optical and free legal clinics.

First RCSFDM Club Assembly on July 2, 2009 RCSFDM’s 1st Club Assembly will be on July 2, 2009 at the Quezon City Sports Club at 6:30 p.m. Signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with partners in the 1st MSU Mission for RY 2009-2010 will also be held on the same day.

1st District 3780 Intercity Meeting 1st District 3780 Intercity Meeting on July 30, 2009-“Enhancing Ethics in Professions and Business – A Way to our Nation’s Recovery and Growth”. Guest Speaker will be Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno of the Supreme Court.

 
       
 
June 2009 Best Rotary Club In Community Service
The award was given during the District Awards and Governor’s Recognition Night held last June 7, 2009 at the Philamlife Theater in Manila. The Club also went home with a bumper harvest of several other awards and recognitions, namely:

  • Most Outstanding Club in Public Relations
  • The Rotary International President’s Citation
  • The Governor’s Recognition Award for the hosting of the World Understanding and Peace Celebration (WUPC)
  • The Governor’s Recognition Award for the hosting of the District Leadership Training Seminar (DLTS)
  • The Governor’s Recognition Awards to PP Rufino Policarpio III for being the chairperson of the WUPC
  • The Governor’s Recognition Award to IPP Luis Pangulayan for being the chairperson of the DLTS.
2007-2008 R.I. Significant Achievement Award for the Club’s Mobile Surgery Unit (MSU) project, a mobile self-contained surgery van equipped with modern surgery room equipments with a medical team that provide life saving surgical procedures to poor individuals from communities that cannot be served by their local community centers or hospitals.

RI Public Relations Award for its public relations program and awareness campaign on the Club’s Mobile Surgery Unit (MSU) Missions and other service projects.

RI Presidential Citation Award in recognition of the Club’s accomplishments in relation to RI’s Priority Activities.

The “Rotary Week In QC” has become an annual activity of the district in cooperation with the city government.
  2. Sampung Guro Isang Rotaryo- a communications skills training program for teachers in cooperation with Speech Power, led by Joe Mordeno, to benefit mentors of all levels

1983-1984 Quezon City Gawad Award for promotion of vocational education for out of school youth and the unemployed, and the construction of 5 school houses to support community education and the continuing medical ad dental outreach not only in Quezon City but also in Minalin, Pampanga and San Fabian, Pangasinan.
   
1981-1982 Best Club Bulletin and Best Editorial Award in D-380
The Club won the district honor of being the “BEST CLUB BULLETIN IN DISTRICT 380’. More than 100 Clubs participated in the contest. In addition, the Club won the “BEST EDITORIAL AWARD” in the district, thanks to the efforts of Incoming President Pros Crescini and Editor Popoy Juico.

The Club won the Most Significant Achievement Award for sponsoring a TV show “Rotary Hour” that projected Rotary ideals and service. RCSFDM was recognized and became well known nationwide because of this popular TV program which was aired regularly over GTV Channel 4.
Being the first in the world, it won several commendations from Rotary International including a special feature in “THE ROTARIAN”, the official publication of Rotary International.
   
1976-1977 World Community Project WCS Project 1368 Registered
The Club submitted a most significant project for World Community Service - WCS Project 1368 - which was registered in the Rotary International Library of Projects. WCS Project 1368 was conceptualized by PP Tony Pascual together with the RCSFDM Foundation, which also submitted and formed during the Rotary Year.
   
1973-1974 R.I. World Photo Contest Winner – De-Worming Project
The Club won one of the first prizes in the Rotary International World Photo Contest for its de-worming drive at Barrio Paltok.

  Youthful Pres. Louie Lopez receives the District Award from District Governor Mark Herras. The young RCSFDM was recognized for its assistance to flood victims in Central Luzon in July 1972, one of the club's first major undertaking.
Outstanding Public Service – D380
The Club, led by then Pres, Luis “Louie Lopez, received its first District Award in recognition for the Club’s outstanding public service and assistance to the flood victims of Bulacan, Central Luzon, Pasig, Antipolo and Taytay.

The newly chartered club was among those who spearheaded the massive relief and rescue operations when the provinces of Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac and Bulacan was devastated by flood just before martial law was declared in 1972.
